Mr Monopoly has been a popular figure in board games for many years, and now you can enjoy digital appearances from the character too!

Monopoly Slingo is the latest title where the Hasbro board game has been reinvented online, this time by Slingo Originals. As a game of slingo, it has some differences from the board game, but there are many of the authentic features still included, so Monopoly fans are sure to love it.

In this game, you will find the following symbols in play:

●     Property

●     Joker

●     Chance

●     Community Chest

Players will move around the outer Monopoly board, which is set out in exactly the same way as the classic Monopoly board. This includes all of the properties from Mayfair to Old Kent Road and The Strand.

The slingo board sits inside the main Monopoly board and also contains lines of property cards, 25 in total. This leaves one surplus card, which is allocated as a special card to the player. If you collect this symbol during play, you'll earn an extra cash sum. The surplus card will change with every game and is chosen at random. 

There are a number of different bonuses which can be collected from the Monopoly board.

Every time you roll a double on the dice, you’ll receive a free roll. This gives you the chance to mark off more properties towards a slingo without having to pay for an extra turn.

The prizes for the number of slingos you complete are listed on the left-hand side of the board, but if you collect a full set of any of the properties you will also receive a multiplier. 

Just like the board game, there are Community Chest and Chance cards. These might carry one of a variety of bonuses, such as instant cash prizes. But beware! You may also receive a penalty, such as being sent to jail.

Passing Go and collecting £200 is an iconic part of the Monopoly game. You won’t receive £200 for passing the Go square in this digital version, but it will send some bonus cash to the Free Parking square. If you manage to land exactly on the Free Parking, you’ll be able to collect any of the cash bonuses that have accumulated. 

There are some online casino games where the gameplay is significantly different to the original board game, but that’s not the case with Monopoly Slingo. All of the action centres on you moving around the board, throwing two dice to determine each turn.

To win at this game, you’ll need to collect slingos; this involves checking off complete lines on the inner board by landing on the corresponding properties. The more slingos you win, the greater the payout.

You can also enhance your prize money by collecting full sets of properties, plus you could receive multipliers too.
