The Hand of Midas

The Hand of Midas is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot based on the legend of King Midas, who turned everything he touched to gold, with some unfortunate consequences, I might add. 

This is a highly volatile game from Pragmatic Play with a betting range from 0.20 to 100 for the total bet, meaning 0.01 to 5.00 for the line bet. The six low-pay symbols are 10-A card ranks. Premium symbols are goblets, fruit bowls, treasure chests, Midas' daughter in solid gold (one of the unfortunate consequences I mentioned), Dionysus and Midas. The Wild is the letter W in a very ornate frame. Not only does it stand in for all regular symbols to help form wins, but it can also randomly multiply the win by x 2 or x 3 in the base game. The Wild only lands on reels 2 to 4.

The first bonus is, of course, the random Wild Win Multiplier in the base game, which can increase the prize for a win by up to three times! And if multiple Wilds are involved in a win, any multipliers they might grant are added together before being applied to the win. 

Three or more Scatters trigger the Free Spins, but the amount awarded doesn't depend on the number of Scatters. Instead, once the round is triggered, three mini-slots appear on the screen. These spin to award a number of Free Spins each, and these are added together to get the total number of spins in the round. 

In the bonus round, Wilds add to the win multiplier as in the base game, but this doesn't reset between spins, just keeps rising with every new Wild. The Wilds also stick when they land and remain in position for the rest of the round. 

And even though the number of triggering Scatters doesn't affect the number of Free Spins awarded, players will still want to see as many of them landing as possible. This is because the Free Spins come with a guaranteed win, and the more Scatters that land, the higher this is, at 10x, 20x, or 30x the total bet for 3, 4 or 5 Scatters.

Scatters don’t land during the Free Spins, so the round can’t be retriggered this way. But if the guaranteed win level isn't reached, the round starts over.
