Hades Gigablox

Hades Gigablox by Yggdrasil is set deep in the Underworld, where fiery monsters stalk the reels and Hades himself watches on from beside the 6x6 grid. He’ll also occasionally spring into action to award a bonus.

This is a Gigablox game, meaning any of the symbols, including the Wild and Scatter, can appear as a giant symbol from 2x2 to 6x6. And with each of the positions counting as one symbol, these Gigablox can go a long way to helping form winning combinations on the game’s 50 paylines. 

There are eight regular pay symbols, stylised card suits - hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds - for the low pays,   and four nightmare-inspiring creatures from the Underworld as the premiums. The betting range is from 0.10 to 100.00 for the total bet, divided by 50 for the line bet used in the win multiplier.

The Wild, a fiery monster symbol, can appear on any reel and even as a Gigablox. But they don’t land on a spin as in regular games. Instead, the player has to wait for Hades to decide to step into his role of Giver of Wealth, and not just God of the Underworld, as I’ll explain below. 

The Scatter is another scary looking beast from the Underworld. It can also land as a gigablox, and every position in covers counts as one symbol. 5 or more are needed to trigger the Free Spins, and the player gets as many spins as triggering Scatters.

First, let me explain the whole gigablox feature in case you haven't played one of these slots before. In the base game and Free Spins, any symbol can land as a gigablox from 2x2 to 6x6 in size. Each of the positions covered counts as one symbol, so you can imagine how effective this is in helping form wins. 

The next feature of both the base game and the Free Spins is the Hades Wild Hunt. As I said, wilds don’t land on the reels, but at the end of any spin, Hades can spring into action, battling any monster symbols, standard or oversized, on the reels and turning them Wild if he manages to defeat them. 

In the Free Spins, the Hades Wild Hunt is activated on every spin. And in addition to turning Wild, every monster defeated adds + 1 to the win multiplier and to the Multiplier Bar. Once this is full, +2 free spins are added to the remaining total. The multiplier doesn’t reset between spins and can reach as high as x 10. Every Scatter that lands also extends the round by one spin.

This is an entertaining game, especially when Hades comes to life to hunt monsters on the grid. And the Gigablox mechanism is always fun.
